Description
For the past few weeks I have been working on a series of images that surely have put my image editing skills to serious test. Then again, anyone can do good things with Sprites, due to their simplicity.
Anyways, Final Fantasy. This series always rocks, no matter how you look at it (except of course 11 and 13 XD). But the truth is FF and Square's golden years were the very first games. 1 to 7. Those were the good years. Classic job classes that left history, awesome characters with an immense amount of character, from a big macho guy that can talk with animals and an assasin with his pet dog to a holy paladin that shunned his evil and a free-spirited chocobo rider and many, many more.
And of course their villains. Always the villains. The other side of the scale, so that the balance is kept. From the evil knight who became the persona of destruction itself, to the most powerfull soldier ever created who went nuts when they lied to him about his momma.
This here collab is a small tribute to them all, in all their epicness and might. The series of images that will follow will be my attempts of recreating the sites of these Final Battles in a (hopefully) more epic backround and build. This, along with the 7 that will come, were made while listening to awesome remixes akin to the ones fitting these 7 magnificent bastards. I will be linking them on each upload too, so that you also enjoy the beauty of these remixes.
Some few things about this first piece, the placement is in a form of a pattern, so that the image seems more...connected. This especially shows on Sephiroth and Kefka.
7 pics will follow with all these bosses in their all out battles. While waiting for them, have a listen to what I was listening while making this particular piece, and also the one that sparked me the idea to start working on these.
